Navigational simulator "Navi -Trainer Professional 4000 (NTPRO 4000)", enables simulator training and certification of watch officers, chief officers, captains and pilots serving on commercial and fishing ships with the gross tonnage of 500 tons and more. This simulation system it's used also to train captains of yachts ( Yacht Skipper ) for the navigation at sea with motor or sailing boats.
This complies with requirements of IMO STCW 78/95 Convention and Model Courses 7.01, 7.03 as well as number of specific tasks beyond the Convention NTPRO 4000 simulator is certified by DNV as Class A simulator with class notation "Integrated simulator system, NAUT AW (SIM), DYNPOS-AUT (SIM), HSC, Tug, Ice", as per the new edition of the DNV standard of Certification of Maritime Simulators No.2.14 October 2007.
Navigational simulators use the Transas Navi-Sailor ECDIS, which is one of the world’s most commonly used shipboard electronic chart systems operating on thousands of ships.
The Transas ECDIS holds type approval certificates from the BSH, DNV and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The real electronic chart system included in the simulator allows familiarisation with all the details of electronic chart operation, including route generation and editing, electronic chart updating and principles of displaying various information.
Simulation of real GMDSS equipment
Simulation of full set of SAILOR 5000 equipment – NEW! It is possible to use three different types of GMDSS radio equipment, manufactured by S. P. Radio/Thrane&Thrane: SAILOR Compact 2000, SAILOR System 4000 and SAILOR 5000.
In addition, the VHF&DSC FURUNO FM-8800S is included Jotron AIS SART as per IMO Resolution MSC. 256 (84) as an alternative to 9 GHz SART (from January 1st 2010). – NEW! Each trainee workplace can be supplemented with a Transas compact console including the real control panels of SAILOR Program 4000 units.
ERS 5000: Engine Room Simulator
The Transas Engine Room Simulator ERS 5000 is intended for education, training and assessment of competence of engine department personnel – engineer officer in charge of watch, second and chief engineer, ratings forming part of navigational watch in the engine room.
